Basket Weaving

I signed up for a basket weaving class. My daughter Karla already took one class with Jill Choate and she loved it. I received the basket she made as a gift for Christmas. It is Jill's beautiful "hen basket" pattern.

We will be making this basket, the African Tower.

I am looking forward to going to this one day class in April, in Trappers Creek. It should be fun since Karla, Marie, Calli and I will be taking it together. I see that this basket weaving class is even held in the Lower 48. Check out their schedule for a class, it may be near you!

That sounds like fun. Love the basket!
Oh, thanks for visiting my blog.
Leeland is Leeland Mooring from Texas. He has 2-3 singers with him, all playing instruments too. He is a fantastic singer/evangelist...right now he is on tour...he was at our church last spring. We love him! He appeals to teens too as he is only 18 or 19 I think.

Will you be making baskets like this one in the photo? It's truly a work of art. I've seen similar work in galleries (Scottsdale/Phoenix area) and they are simply stunning.

YES, I will be learning how to do this exact basket. I hope I can do it justice. I will post my ... attempt. :-)

I'm very impressed, Connie Marie!!! You can make them and sell them. I love the incorporation of the antler. (Yes, I'm a closet artist.) :~D
